In the summer of 1970, counterculture icon Janis Joplin came to Brazil to get away from heroin. The detox turned into a meteoric and almost anonymous passage in which she lived her last carnival intensely: she was kicked out of the Copacabana Palace, drank a lot, went topless and met the love of her life. The documentary explores the collection of photographer Ricky Ferreira, showing the intimacy of the singer. Her hippie look contrasts with the authoritarianism of the time, in a story that deals with feminism, freedom and free love.
