Warriors of the Forest was produced throughout 2018 in the states of Roraima, Rondônia, Acre and Amazonas with the Yanomami, Huni Kuin and Surui ethnic groups, highlighting the struggle of three of Brazil's great indigenous leaders: Davi Kopenawa, Almir Surui and Ninawa Inu Huni Kuin and their communities, in defense of the sustainability of the Amazon and the heritage of their peoples.
The series delves into the cultures of each of the ethnic groups, addressing their similarities and particularities in lifestyle, as well as their struggle for preservation and survival.
While following the three leaders, the series shows how, while suffering from persecution and threats in Brazil, these leaders have their causes recognized internationally.
